Blue Pills for Bad People

In their never ending quest to ram health care down our throat, Maryland's two Senators decided that we should make sure that child molesters and sex offenders should still have access to Viagra and other sexually enhancing drugs.

No, really.

Apparently, passing a health care bill nobody wants is more important to Maryland's Democratic Senators than ensuring very bad people don't get federally funded prescriptions that help them be very bad people.

How sad. How pathetic.

And before you make the argument that the Senate did not want to make any amendments so that the bill did not have to go back to the House, the bill is already going back to the House anyway to strip out language which violated the Senate reconciliation rules.

So there really is no good reason why our Senators could not have approved this amendment or a number of other non-controversial ones.

Cardin and Mikulski both voted AGAIN for the Blue Pill for sex offenders, child molesters and rapists. Our two Progressive Maryland Senators have had there chance to act responsibly. Now Babs and Benny have to explain why they favor child molesters and rapists.

S.Amdt. 3556 to H.R. 4872 (Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010)
Statement of Purpose: To reduce the cost of providing federally funded prescription drugs by eliminating fraudulent payments and prohibiting coverage of Viagra for child molesters and rapists and for drugs intended to induce abortion.

One of them is a boob who needs to retire (run Bob run!) and the other is a pseudo-intellectual, elitist who does not care what his constituents think or want.

What a sad state of affairs for Maryland citizens.
