On the one hand, Sen. Nathaniel Exum (D-24), Prince George's County, is one of the most liberal and loyal Democrats in the Senate. And he has supported some tax increases.
On the other hand, he seems very sensitive to criticism on tax issues. Bring up tax issues in meeting with him and he will most often jump to point out that he didn't support this, or voted against that.
When the General Assembly voted a few years ago to force a telephone tax on Prince Georgians, only two Senators were opposed--Mooney and Exum.
So, it's probably a long shot, but Sen. Exum might be worth calling.
